Hey guys! I’m Elyssa — the artist, owner, and heart behind The Painted Peanut Co.

My love for painting began in the early spring of 2024. My daughter and I have always enjoyed crafting together, and while scrolling Pinterest one day, I came across the cutest hand-painted plant pots. I ordered a bulk kit of craft paints from Amazon, and we jumped right in.

Painting quickly became my calm space. I felt like I’d finally found my niche. Before long, I was painting everything I could get my hands on — canvas pieces, Christmas ornaments, birthday plates, step stools… if it could be painted, it was getting painted!

At a friend’s birthday party, she had a sweet hand-painted banner she’d purchased, and I immediately thought, Wait, I can totally do that. I made a few for friends, and that’s when The Painted Peanut Co. truly came to life.

I loved having a creative outlet that sparked so much joy — and my husband loved that I was starting to make a little money to support my crafting habit (if you know, you know!). When I’m not in my paint shed, you’ll find me with my kids, Amelia (5) and Cove (2), or caring for moms and babies as a postpartum/nursery nurse.

I created this website to make ordering easier for my sweet customers and to bring everything I offer into one happy place. I’m so excited to share this journey with y’all, and I’m incredibly grateful for all the love and support over the past six months.
